Becoming an Active Foundation Member
The Foundation of Friends relies on active members donating their time to the Foundation itself, as well as one of three of the sub-committees where individual talents are best utilized. If you would like to learn more about becoming an active member, read about our sub-committees and, if you are interested in joining, please contact our Development Officer, Nick Hagdorn, at nhagdorn@ivpl.org.

Pioneers for attaining and maintaining potential and new members to the Foundation of Friends.

Targeting potential new friends or potential business donors

Meets once a month in conjunction with Library Director and Development Officer.

Events/Fundation Committee:

Sub-groups of individuals who are tasked with the planning and execution of large scale events at the library.

Dinner In White Committee

Each sub-group meets once a month in conjunction with the Library Director and Development Officer.
Capital Fund Committee:

This group focuses on the sustainability and capital campaign side of providing for the library.

Projects:

Developing the Educational Income Tax Credit (EITC) plan and execution for the children’s library, specifically Summer Learning.

Exploring and investigating the fundamentals of expanding into a sustainable 21st Century Library in terms of size, location, finances and so on.

Additionally, the Foundation meets six times a year to move forward with existing and new business matters to aid in attaining the library’s needs and goals. All Friends are welcome to attend.
