Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reserve a hotspot?
Visit ivpl.org, call 215-723-9109, ext. 2, or stop by the circulation desk to reserve. Hotspots can be reserved using a library card in good standing.
Is there a charge to reserve and borrow a hotspot?
There is no charge to reserve or borrow a hotspot.
Who can reserve a hotspot?
Valid library cardholders who are 18 years or older and with library accounts in good standing can reserve a hotspot.
How long can I keep the hotspot?
You may borrow it for 7 days or 30 days.

How do I connect to a hotspot?
Instructions are included with the hotspot. You can connect up to 10 devices at a time.
Will the hotspot work everywhere?
The hotspot works wherever there is a Sprint wireless network.
How many hotspots can I reserve per day/month?
One hotspot can be reserved per day per library card. One hotspot can be borrowed a month.
How far in advance can I reserve a hotspot?
Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.

When and where can I pick up the hotspot?
A hotspot must be picked up from the front desk of the library the day before use or the first day of use. The system will not allow the hotspots to be checked out after this time.

How do I cancel my reservation?
Reservations can be canceled any time before the “Days of Use.” If the reservation is canceled on the “Days of Use” it will be considered a “No Show.” You can cancel online or by calling Indian Valley Public Library at 215-723-9109, ext. 2.

Where do I return my hotspot?
Return hotspots to the library by the end date. Hotspots need to be returned on time so others may use them. Thank you for your consideration of others who are waiting to use the hotspot.

What is the late fee or replacement fee?
The late fee for all hotspots is $20 per day. If a hotspot is lost or damaged, the replacement fee is $150 + 15 processing fee.
