Hoover's Online Learning Center

Includes free access to Hoover’s database of company and industry information.  Some services are only available through subscription.  However, you can search or browse for companies by name or industry, and view fact sheets, news and some financial information.  Hoover’s also lists the company’s website.  Many companies list job openings on their website.

General Websites

Career OneStop

Funded through Unemployment Insurance taxes, this service links the 1,800 state Employment Service offices. Most of the jobs are full-time and the majority are in the private sector.


Popular employment search site that allows you to search for jobs by location (city, state, zip code).  You can also store resumes online and make them accessible to employers.


Similar to in that it allows you to search for jobs by location and store resumes online.  It is worthwhile to search both, because they often include different job listings.  CareerBuilder includes listings that would be available in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Browsable and searchable listing of jobs (and other types of ads) by region or city.

Local and Government Job Searches

Montgomery County

County of Montgomery, PA

The Montgomery County government website includes an Employment page, with information about applying for a Montgomery County government job, job listings, and links to other job hunting resources


Local resources for job seekers, including a job search, lists of seminars (e.g., resume writing, interviewing, etc.), job fairs, and information on GED preparation classes

Montgomery Newspapers Online

Provides online access to Montgomery County newspapers, including the Souderton Independent. Includes searchable Classifieds, and listings for employment and job fairs.

Bucks County

Bucks County

Official site of Bucks County. Click the Living & Working in Bucks link, and scroll down to the Employment section for links to the Office of Employment and Training, and a link to weekly local government job postings.


Provides online access to The Bucks County Courrier Times and The Intelligencer. Click the Jobs Search link to search for jobs, post a resume, or sign up for job alerts.

Bucks County community website. Click the Job Search link for a listing of local jobs.


PA PowerPort

Go to Services – Employment.  Includes links to a variety of information about working in Pennsylvania, such as a list of the best places to work, state government jobs, internship opportunities, and job training.
