COVID-19 Update

Patrons of the Indian Valley Public Library,
Today, Tuesday, March 31, 2020, Indian Valley Public Library will extend our current state of closure, per Governor Tom Wolf. As COVID-19 continues to spread, it is important to all of us at the Indian Valley Public Library to continue to try and curb this illness. As of right now, we will be reopening on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM. We will continue to update you through email and on social media as the situation continues to change.
Patrons who have library materials checked out will still not incur fines. We ask that you keep your library materials until the library reopens, we will begin to get very backed up in terms of recirculating returned library items. Additionally this will help us to stop the spread of germs.
During this time please take advantage of our digital services that can be accessed through our official IVPL website. Enjoy e-books and audiobooks with Overdrive/Libby and axis360. You can also read full issues of magazines with RBdigital, or entertain the kids with Tumblebooks, Bookflix, and Trueflix.
In the meantime, our children’s staff has begun to create an abundance of online activities for families at home. Visit our website for an updated list of educational resources. Ms. Angela and Mr. Robbie are also doing virtual story times on Facebook live and on YouTube.
If you have any questions or concerns during this time please direct them through email towards Library Director, Margie Stern at mstern@ivpl.org or Development Officer, Jocelyn Rose at jrose@ivpl.org. These are all very trying times for us as we are uncertain of what the future holds and we are very appreciative of your patience.
Keep safe and keep reading Indian Valley, we will see you at the library soon.
