Today, Thursday, March 12, 2020, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has ordered mass closings in Montgomery County in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 or the Coronavirus. For IVPL, this means that we will be closed for the next two weeks, spanning from Friday, March 13, 2020 to Thursday, March 26, 2020. As of right now the library will reopen on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 10:00AM. We will continue to update you through email and on social media if there is a change in reopening dates.
During this time that the library will be closed patrons who have materials checked out will incur no fines–this stands for all library materials. We ask that you keep your library materials until the library reopens, we will begin to get very backed up in terms of recirculating returned library items. If you must return a book or other library materials you can use our book drop, which is located outside and to the left of our main entrance. The book drop will remain open the entire duration of our closure.
Additionally, all events and clubs scheduled during this closure will be cancelled and rescheduled to a later date.
During this time please take advantage of our digital services that can be accessed through our official IVPL website. Enjoy e-books and audiobooks with Overdrive/Libby and axis360. You can also read full issues of magazines with RBdigital, or entertain the kids with Tumblebooks, Bookflix, and Trueflix.
If you have any questions or concerns during this time please direct them through email towards Library Director, Margie Stern at firstname.lastname@example.org or Development Officer, Jocelyn Rose at email@example.com. These are all very trying times for us as we are uncertain of what the future holds and we are very appreciative of your patience.
Keep safe and keep reading Indian Valley, we will see you at the library very soon.
