Get to Know Your Computer Series

A 4-program series held on Friday afternoons to help improve your computer and technology skills!

    • Computer BasicsSeptember 7th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Learn the basics of the computer, such as basic controls, using the mouse, and typing on the keyboard. At the end of the course you will improve on your mouse, keyboard, and typing skills.

 

    • Internet BasicsSeptember 14th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Learn the basics of the Internet and the three main web browsers— Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. At the end of this course you will improve on your Internet searching skills.

 

    • Email BasicsSeptember 21st, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Learn the basics of email. At the end of this course you will have signed up for a free email and improved your skills on sending and receiving emails.

 

  • Microsoft Word BasicsOctober 5th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Learn the basics of Microsoft Word, the popular word processing program. At the end of this course you will have improved your skills on page formatting; editing; cutting, copying, and pasting; and saving and printing documents.

All 4 programs will be held in Indian Valley Public Library at the public computer banks. You may register for all four or any individual program.
