Place an Item on Hold

If an item that you are interested in borrowing is currently out, you can reserve the next

***Please note: You will be charged $.50 per item that you place on hold.***

1. Search for the item.  If the item is currently out (i.e., there is a date in the Status and Due Date fields), click the Request Item button.

2. Enter the 14-digit barcode number from the back of your library card (do not include spaces) and click Login.

3. A Request Confirmation page appears.  You can type more information in the Comment field, or just click Request.

The hold will be placed in the system, and the library will call you when the book is available.

Renew Items

1. Under Services.
   

    

2. Click the Your Account tab.

3. Enter the 14-digit barcode number from the back of your library card (do not include spaces) and click Login.

4. Click the Items Out link. A list of the items you have checked out appears.

5. To renew an item, click the checkbox to the left of the title.  You can select several items to renew at one time.  You can also select all of the items by clicking the checkbox at the top of the window.

6. After selecting all of the items you want to renew, click the Renew button.

The due date will be updated.

**You cannot renew items that are overdue, or that require a fee (e.g., dvds, audiobooks, rental books, etc.).

Access the POWER Library

1. Under Find It.

2. Click the Databases link.

3. Enter the 14-digit barcode number from the back of your library card (do not include spaces), and click Login.

4. Click the PA POWER Library link.

POWER Library databases are arranged by subject.  Click a link under a subject heading to begin your search.
